SIM copying made easy with MySIMcopier

MySIMcopier is a portable, lightweight SIM card reader for use directly by the subscribers. This tool lets the customer copy their phone book and messages from one SIM to another, helping SIM renewal. Since its launch in February 2003, more than 40 operators have decided to start offering MySIMcopier to their end-users. It is now available to buy directly from the webstore.


MySIMcopier 3G,
the new version launched in February 2005, allows the subscriber to copy the full 3G phonebook data & messages from one SIM to another. Thus, when swapping to a USIM card with MySIMcopier 3G, operators ensure the continuity of service from 2G to 3G, which is a mandatory service level. The SIMigration Pack @ home - a complete logistics service for SIM renewal campaigns

An all inclusive package containing the new SIM card, MySIMcopier and a user guide is mailed by Post to the end-user to complete the SIM card swap and copy personal data across. Gemplus manages the entire renewal campaign, from the card personalization process and customer data matching to end-user delivery. This smooth end-to-end process guarantees a high acceptance rate for the new SIM.

 

The SIM Back-Up Pack - an off-line ADN back up service

A blister pack containing 1 MySIMcopier, 1 SIM back-up card and 1 user guide. This pack allows subscribers to save their existing SIM data (phone book and messages) to a non-activated card. Operators can either sell this pack at POS to generate more traffic or simply send it to their best customers.

In Belgium, Mobistar undertook a renewal campaign targeting their valuable, residential users. They sent a new SIM card with a Gemplus MySIMcopier, enabling these users to transfer their personal data (phonebook and SMS) in total security. They have also deployed MySIMeditor, a PC-based SIM management tool for its corporate users and are already seeing the return on investment through increased customer satisfaction.

Letting customers manage their own SIM with MySIMeditor

MySIMeditor breaks down the barrier to renewal by enabling end-users to save SIM data onto their PC or new SIM as often as required. They can also update their SIM contents and choose the services they want from the comfort of their home.

MySIMeditor allows phone book synchronization with MS Outlook and offers a numbers internationalization facility.

 


MySIMeditor 3G, the new version launched in February 2005, enables (U)SIM data management directly from a PC. The main functions are: 
  • 3G phone book editor
  • Card to card copy
  • Security management (PIN codes)
  • Short messages (SMS) editor
  • Fixed numbers (FDN) editor
  • MS Outlook contacts import
  • Compatibility with 2G/3G cards 

This tool will facilitate migration towards 3G cards.
