SmartJAAS Details

It's quite recommended to understand how JAAS works before.
Keep in mind that our sample shows how to perform an authentication with a smart card using JAAS, but does not explain how JAAS works.

The challenge-response is performed in the login callback. If the signature verification failed, the method raises a FailedLoginException. If any kind of error occurs the method raises a LoginException. Otherwise true is returned.

This is how the challenge-response is performed.

Once the user has been authenticated, the SCLaunch class launches the java application of which the url and the class name are saved as public credentials, with the permissions granted to the subject.
